#24節氣 – 立冬】

是日立冬,象徵正式踏入冬季。冬,意為「終」,為年度最後一個季節,天氣寒冷,萬物潛藏,人體也是順應著大自然而變化,新陳代謝也相對緩慢,故此養生之道在於養陰護陽。活動宜多靜少動,可以曬曬太陽養陽氣,早睡晚起,宜少耗氣,少發汗,來個輕鬆的小慢跑、拉筋或靜態瑜伽。民間一向有「立冬進補」的說法,但香港屬南方氣候,雖然已到立冬但仍未變冷,所以不能一味靠溫補,還是先養好脾胃再適量進食溫補食材,適量進食薏米、淮山、番薯等,多吃溫暖的米粥,亦可以適量食用有益精補腎功效的食材,例如黑芝麻、栗子、核桃等。

立冬養生重點:「養陰護陽,益腎養精」

南瓜:補中益氣、解毒消腫、潤肺益氣、平喘化痰
栗子:養脾健胃,補腎壯腰,強筋骨

南瓜栗子米糊
功效:健脾益氣補腎,有助冬季暖身。
材料:南瓜100克、去殼栗子100克、植物奶400毫升、夕即沖米水粉1包、冰糖適量
做法:
1. 材料洗淨,南瓜去皮去籽切塊。
2. 南瓜及栗子蒸熟備用,將南瓜、栗子及植物奶加入攪拌機攪拌成糊。
3. 將南瓜栗子糊加入鍋中,加入夕即沖米水粉拌勻,用文火煮10分鐘,加入冰糖煮至溶化即成。

The weather is cold, everything is hidden, the human body is also adapting to nature and metabolism is relatively slower, so the main point of healthy living is to nourish yin and protect yang. At this time, you should move less. You can also enjoy the sunlight to raise yang qi, go to bed early and get up late, to consume less qi and sweat less. Get some easy exercise such as jogging, stretching or static yoga.
There’s often the saying that you should have more tonic food in winter to strengthen your body. However, Hong Kong has a southern climate. Although it has reached the beginning of winter, it has not turned cold. It is more suitable to nourish our spleen and stomach before eating tonic food. We can moderately consume coix seeds, Chinese yam, sweet potato and warm congee. Also, we can consume foods that are good for essence and kidney such as black sesame seeds, chestnuts, walnuts, etc.

Healthy living during Beginning of Winter Solar Term:
“Nourish yin and protect yang qi. Nourish the kidneys and preserve vital energy.

Pumpkin: replenishes vital energy and strengthens qi, detoxifies and relieves swelling, and moistens the lungs. It has healing effects to relieve asthma and decrease phlegm.
Chestnut: nourishes the spleen and strengthens the stomach. Replenishes the kidneys and strengthens muscles.

Chestnut sweet soup with Pumpkin and Rice
Effects: Nourishes the spleen, regulates qi and replenishes kidney. Helps warm up in winter.
Ingredients: 100g pumpkin, 100g peeled chestnut, 400ml plant milk, 1 pack of dusk rice water powder, rock sugar to taste
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients. Peel and seed the pumpkin and slice into pieces.
2. Steam pumpkin and chestnuts until cooked. Combine cooked pumpkin and chestnuts with plant milk in a blender, blend until smooth.
3. Combine chestnut paste with 1 pack of dusk rice water powder. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Add rock sugar and cook until dissolved.
