奶粉寶寶特別熱氣？
常聽長輩說：「BB食奶粉熱氣啊！要喝開奶茶或甚麼甚麼去清熱氣。」奶粉真的熱氣嗎？奶粉由牛奶經過殺菌、濃縮及乾燥而成，由於製造過程有烘乾程序，所以屬性偏熱，但不代表吃奶粉的寶寶就一定熱氣，因為中醫講究辨證論治，如果小兒體質有熱，一般會有臉色偏紅、嘴唇偏乾、有眼屎、有口氣、出疹、尿少顏色黃、大便偏乾硬甚至便秘、煩躁易怒、夜睡不安寧等徵狀。
而小兒一般從6個月大開始加固，奶粉不再是主食，但亦開始吃咬牙餅、米餅等屬性偏熱的烘焗食物，這時候茶點也可以加一點屬性平和或偏涼的水果如蘋果、奇異果、橙等平衡一下。 一歲起可每天飲用米水健脾胃，由每天60ml起。如有偏熱症狀，可以煮竹蔗茅根水、或者粟米鬚粟米馬蹄水適量飲用。對小兒體質有疑問，建議諮詢醫師意見。
粟米鬚粟米芯馬蹄水
功效：健脾利水，清熱助消化，有助紓緩口臭、消化不良等症狀。
材料：新鮮粟米鬚80克、粟米2根、穀芽20克、麥芽20克、馬蹄6粒、冰糖適量
做法：
1. 所有材料洗淨，粟米連鬚去衣切段、馬蹄去皮切塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入約1500毫升水，放入全部材料，以武火煮至水滾，調文火煮約40分鐘，最後加冰糖調味即成。
備註：此茶1歲後可飲用，亦適合全家飲用，按體質及症狀可一星期飲用2-3次。
Is milk formula especially hot natured?
The elders always say that infant formula is hot natured so we need to mix in some infant formula tea or something to clear heat. Is it true? Milk formula is made from cow’s milk with processes to sterilize, condense and dry. The drying process does make formula hot natured. But that does not mean all babies that have formula will have heat in body, we still need to assess the symptoms. Children with hot related body types will have red complexion, dry lips, eye discharge, bad breath, rashes, low volume and yellowish urination, dry stool and even constipation, irritable and poor sleep quality.
Solids are introduced at 6 months old and formula is no longer the main source of nutrient. Some babies may even eat teething biscuits or rice crackers that are hot in nature due to the baking process. You can add some mild natured or cool natured fruits to their snacks such as apple, kiwi, and oranges to balance it out. From 1 year old on, you can give 60ml of rice water daily to strengthen the digestive system. For those with heat related symptoms try sugar cane and imperatae water or corn silk water with corn and water chestnut.
