四種參類皆能補氣,但針對的體質狀況有所不同,要小心選擇,切忌亂補。
➽➽黨參- 性平。有補肺脾氣的功效。適合陽虛、氣虛、血虛體質。
➽➽高麗參-產地自韓國,分紅參及白參,紅參因為經過精製,甘甜而更有效補血,功效與人參一樣,都是性微溫,有大補元氣、生津止渴、安神等功效。適合陽虛、氣虛、血虛體質。
➽➽花旗參-又稱西洋參,陰虛有火人士適用,能舒緩晚睡而引起的心煩口渴、小便量少色黃、大便偏乾、口乾等虛熱症狀。
➽➽太子參-性平,與花旗參一樣都能補氣養陰、生津止渴,但功效不及花旗參強,小兒或不宜溫補人士較適宜用太子參。
➽➽Codonopsis Root- mild natured. It can replenish lung and spleen qi. Suitable for those with yang deficient, qi deficient and asthenic blood body types.
➽➽Korean Ginseng- has same effects as ginseng, originates from Korea. There are two kinds- red ginseng and white ginseng. Red ginseng is sweeter and is more effective to replenish blood because it has been further refined. Ginseng- Slightly warm-natured. Reinforces vital energy, promotes fluid production to relieve thirst, and calms the nerves. Suitable for yang deficient, qi deficient and blood asthenia body types.
➽➽American Ginseng- also known as western ginseng, suitable for those with yin deficient body type and heat-related symptoms. Relieves frequent late night symptoms such as agitation, thirst, low urine volume, yellowish urine, dry stool and dry mouth.
➽➽Root of false starwort- mild natured, has similar effects as American Ginseng- replenishes qi and nourishes yin, promotes fluid production to relieve thirst. Its healing effects are not as strong as American Ginseng, and its more suitable for children or those not suitable for tonic foods.
