星期五湯水 - 霸王花紅蘿蔔赤小豆章魚湯
又到星期五湯水的時間!看到菜檔都開始賣新鮮霸王花— 霸王花能清熱消暑,是夏季煮湯好材料!這個週末試試看吧,此湯水尤其適合身體有偏熱症狀人士,減輕中暑症狀、口臭、便秘等問題。
注意: 孕婦不宜飲用,脾胃虛弱、容易腹瀉則不宜多喝了。
材料:新鮮霸王花1-2朵、紅蘿蔔2根、赤小豆 30克、蓮子30克、章魚乾1塊、無花果2-3枚、生薑1片
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,新鮮霸王花用水泡洗乾淨,切段;紅蘿蔔去皮切大塊、章魚乾泡水半天。
2. 鍋中加入約2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,改文火煮約1.5小時,最後下鹽調味即可。
功效:清熱祛濕消暑。舒緩口臭、便秘、尿黃、胃部脹滿不適等症狀。
小貼士:新鮮霸王花七、八月當造,過後煮湯就要用乾品了!
Friday Soup Series- Night-Blooming Cereus and Carrot Soup with Rice Beans and Octopus
Ingredients: 1-2 Fresh Night-Blooming Cereus, 2 carrots, rice beans 30g, lotus seed 30g, 1 dried squid, 2-3 figs, ginger 1 slice
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Soak night-blooming cereus in water to clean and cut into short pieces. Peel carrot and cut into large pieces. Soak dried squid for half a day.
2. Add 2500ml of water into pot with all ingredients, and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hour. Add salt to taste.
Effects: Clears heat, eliminates dampness and clears summer heat. Relieves symptoms of bad breath, constipation, yellow urine, stomach bloating and discomfort.
Tip: Fresh night-blooming cereus is in season during months of July and August, after that you will have to use dried ones.
Note: Not suitable for pregnant women.
