養顏要健脾潤肺明目
人的外表是內在反映,當五臟六腑功能正常,氣血通暢,自然養顏保持年輕。都市人大多飲食沒節制,早上空腹飲果汁,甚至不吃早餐直接食沙律,或經常食寒涼生冷食物,脾胃虛弱的人多面黃,也較易長胖,因此要皮膚健康和健美就要先養胃。愛好辛辣煎炸食物會令腸胃積熱,輕則皮膚乾、出細紋,甚至乾燥搔癢或爆拆。再者,現代人返工經常接觸電腦,放工後又手機不離手,加上睡眠不足等生活習慣,加重眼睛負擔,消耗肝血,所以不想面黃黃、皮膚乾噌噌、身形走樣及眼仔無神,就要好好養胃、潤肺及明目!

健脾-番薯粟米黃豆粥
材料:番薯1個、粟米粒1杯、黃豆30克、白米1/4米杯
做法:洗淨所有材料,黃豆浸泡半小時,番薯切塊備用。鍋中加入約1500毫升水,放入黃豆,武火將之煮爛,再加入其他材料,水滾後轉至文火,待白米煮熟即可。
功效:健脾養胃。養顏及舒緩面色偏黃及浮腫症狀。

潤肺-蘋果百合川貝蜜茶
材料:蘋果1個、百合10克、蓮子10粒、川貝6克、蜂蜜適量
做法:蘋果去芯切塊,鍋內加入約1000毫升水,加入其他材料煮40分鐘,放涼後加入蜂蜜即可。
功效:潤肺養陰。滋潤肌膚及舒緩乾燥症狀。

明目—石斛枸杞子茶
材料:石斛、枸杞子各10克
做法:燉2小時即可。
功效:生津明目,滋潤雙眼。

Tips to beautiful skin
People’s outer appearance is a reflection of inner condition. When all your organs are working properly and qi and blood are flowing smoothly, your skin will be naturally healthy and young. Urbanites tend to lack control when it comes to eating- juice in the morning with empty stomach, skipping breakfast then having salads, or frequently consume cold and raw foods, etc. Those with asthenic weak spleen and stomach are prone to yellowish complexion and gaining weight so t is important to nourish the digestive system for healthy skin. Spicy and fried food can lead to heat in the digestive system and cause dry skin, wrinkles, or even itchiness. People also have long exposure to computer screen and cannot seem to stop using their mobile phones after work, coupled with lack of rest, it can really add to the burden of the eyes and use liver blood. To avoid yellowish complexion, dry skin, becoming out of shape and have tired eyes, be sure to strengthen your stomach, nourish your lungs and improve eyesight!

Strengthen the spleen- Soy bean congee with sweet potato and corn
Ingredients: 1 sweet potato, 1 cup of corn, 30g soy beans, ¼ cup of white rice
Preparation: rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Soak soy beans for half an hour. Cut sweet potato into pieces. Combine soy beans with 1500ml of water, cook on high heat until it starts to break apart, add in all other ingredients. Turn to low heat when its boiling and cook until white rice is cooked.
Effects: Strengthens the spleen and nourishes the stomach. Improves skin, and alleviates yellowish complexion and bloating.

Nourish the lungs- Apple tea with lily bulbs and fritillaria
Ingredients: 1 apple, 10g lily bulbs, 10 lotus seeds, 6g fritillaria, honey to taste
Preparation: Core apple and cut into pieces. Combine all ingredients except honey with 1000ml of water and cook for 40 minutes. Add in honey to taste once cooled.
Effects: nourishes the lungs and in. Moisturize skin and relieve dryness.

Improve vision- Dendrobium tea with wolfberries
Ingredients: 10g of dendrobium and wolfberries
Preparation: stew for 2 hours.
