夏季容易無胃口,以為吃少一頓可當減肥,怎料頭昏腦脹無精神。其實吃早餐恢復元氣非常重要!炎夏適宜「清補」,粥品平和健脾胃,同時暖心又窩心。若最近無胃口又有煩燥不安、易怒症狀,更要清淡飲食。從中醫角度來看,早上7至11時是脾胃經循行的時間,最易消化及吸收早餐的營養,適時滋養脾胃,因此不吃早餐會導致脾胃虛弱,出現疲憊、 面黃、水腫等症狀。以下的紫薯燕麥薏米粥清淡易消化,具健脾養胃及潤腸通便的功效,有助排出身體濕氣,消除疲累困重。建議如沒有時間吃早餐也可以喝一杯米水,一樣能健脾胃呢!


1. 除燕麥片外,所有材料洗淨,紫薯去皮切粒,淘洗白米、洋薏米備用 。
2. 鍋中加入約1500毫升水,放入白米、武火煮至水滾,加入其餘材料,轉用文火煮成粥,如太稠可自行加水。最後加入適量鹽調味即可。

Purple sweet potato congee with oatmeal and pearl barley
Effects: Strengthens spleen and stomach, loosens the bowels to relieve constipation. Suitable for those with asthenic spleen and stomach, indigestion and bad appetite.
Ingredients: 1 purple sweet potato, ¼ cup of oats, ¼ cup of rice, ¼ cup of pearl barley
1. Besides oats, rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel purple sweet potato and cut into pieces. Rinse rice and pearl barley to be prepared.
2. Put rice with 1500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Add remaining ingredients and turn to low heat and simmer till you have reached your desired texture. Add salt to taste.
