#24節氣 – 小寒】天氣稍為回暖的小寒

來到小寒這個節氣,代表冬天真正來臨,雖然這兩天天氣又回暖了,但要注意寒流隨時來襲,適時加添禦寒衣物,更要多關心體弱多病者、小童及長者著重保暖。「養腎防寒」是這個節氣應做的事,可多攝取黑色食物來補腎,例如黑木耳、黑豆、黑米、黑芝麻、桑椹等。而陽氣不足、特別怕冷的人,可適量進食南瓜、韭菜、核桃等屬性溫熱的食物以增加陽氣。

Minor Cold Solar Term
Minor cold signifies true arrival of winter. Although it has warmed up these few days, be careful that it can get cold anytime. Be sure to dress appropriately and take caution for those prone to illness, children and elderly. This is the season to nourish kidneys and protect from the cold. You can consume black colour food to replenish kidneys such as black fungus, black soya beans, black rice, black sesame, and mulberry leave. For those with insufficient yang qi and aversion to cold, try to appropriately consume pumpkin, chives, and walnut type of warm natured ingredients.

Gentle reminders:
– fried rice, ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon and pepper help to keep the body warm
– try to sleep early and wake up later to conserve yang qi
– work is important but be sure to take enough rest
