預防中暑小貼士
暑假期間少不了各式各樣的沙灘及船河活動,除了注意防曬,也要小心中暑,中暑不一定會眼前一黑地突然暈倒,輕微中暑會出現不同症狀,例如頭暈、頭痛、眼花、大量出汗、口渴、噁心胸悶、精神不能集中、呼吸急促、四肢無力等,如果出現以上情況,就可能是中暑的先兆!中醫理論認為中暑多屬虛症,如果本身過度疲勞又睡眠不足,都會因為夏天過熱,暑氣過盛形成暑邪,令身體失去平衡,導致中暑。

1. 每隔20分鐘,補充約100-200毫升水份。
2. 喝水時宜一口一口緩緩地喝,不宜大杯灌下去。
3. 避免飲用茶、咖啡、酒精飲品等加速身體排水的飲料。
4. 使用闊邊帽、雨傘、小風扇等以助散熱降溫。
5. 身體不適、睡眠不足、身體虛弱情況下都不宜進行太激烈的戶外活動。

Tips to avoid heat stroke
During summer, many go to the beach or go on boat trips, aside from sun protection, it is important to prevent from heat strokes. Heat strokes don’t just come in the form of fainting, but mild heat strokes may present different symptoms such as dizziness, headache, blurred vision, excessive sweating, thirst, nausea, inability to focus, shortness of breath, weakness in limbs. If you experience any of these, you may be having a heat stroke already! Chinese medicine believes heat stroke is a symptom of asthenia. If you are overly fatigue and are sleep deprived, the heat in the summer can form a heat pathogen causing the body to lose balance and lead to heat stroke.

1. Drink about 100-200ml of water every 20 minutes
2. Drink slowly and don’t gulp the entire cup down
3. Avoid tea, coffee, or alcohol as they can increase rate of fluid drainage
4. Use wider hats, umbrellas and handheld fans to lower your body temperature
5. If you don’t feel well, don’t have enough sleep, or have weakened state, you should not do any vigorous exercising outdoors
