【清熱養陰酣睡湯】
身體累了本應能好好入睡,但偏偏老是睡不著,就算入睡了卻總是多夢易醒?中醫理論認為體虛人士特別容易出現失眠問題,例如氣虛體質人士因為氣不足,身體感到很累卻難以入眠;陰虛體質人士常感到心煩和心悸不安,不易入睡。受失眠困擾人士宜按症狀調理身體,例如陰虛體質平日宜適量進食滋陰食物,例如雪耳、沙參、百合、石斛、花旗參等,少吃辛辣、煎炸油膩食物。睡前給自己半小時至一小時過渡時間,讓自己靜下來迎接睡眠,休息時可以按摩穴位,幫助紓緩壓力,寧心安神,有助入睡。
睡前減壓穴位
按揉方法:以拇指指腹用陰力按揉每個穴位約2-3分鐘。
印堂穴
位置:兩眉頭連線的中間點。
神門穴
位置:手腕橫紋處,從小指延伸到手掌根部末端的凹陷處。
太衝穴
位置:足背側,大趾及二趾中間,骨頭交會凹陷處。
百合沙參玉竹猴頭菇湯
功效:養陰清熱,改善睡眠質素,紓緩口乾、大便乾結等症狀。
材料:老黃瓜1根、粟米2根、百合15克、沙參20克、玉竹15克、猴頭菇1個、蜜棗2枚
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,猴頭菇泡水約半日至軟身;老黃瓜連皮切塊;粟米連鬚切大塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入約2500毫升水,放入全部材料,以武火煮至水滾,調文火煮約1.5小時,最後下鹽調味即可。

Soup to clear heat and nourish yin for better sleep
By right, we should be able to sleep well when we are exhausted, but it is not always the case. Even if we manage to fall asleep, we will tend to dream excessively. According to Chinese Medicine theories, individuals with a weak body would develop insomnia more easily. For instance, weak individuals would feel tired but could not sleep easily due to the lack of qi in the body. People with a yin-deficient body might feel annoyed and experience palpitation and would not be able to sleep well.
Individuals with insomnia should take care of the body according to their respective symptoms. For instance, those with a yin-deficient body should consume ingredients that could nourish the yin. For instance, snow fungus, glehnia root, lily bulb, noble dendrobium, and American ginseng. They should also avoid eating hot, spicy, and deep-fried foods. These individuals should spend thirty minutes to one hour to calm themselves down before sleep by massaging the acupoints to relieve stress and calm the mind. This would improve their sleep quality.
Three de-stress acupoints before sleep
Method: Use your thumb to message each acupoint gently for about 2 – 3 minutes.
Yintang Point
Location: Midway between the medial ends of the eyebrows
Shen Men Point
Location: at the wrist crease, from the pinky finger to the bottom of the palm where it depresses
Taichong Point
Location: on side of top of foot, on your foot about two finger widths above the place where the skin of your big toe and the next toe join.
Monkey head mushroom soup with lily bulbs, glehnia root and polygonatum odoratum
Effects: nourishes yin and clears the heat, relieves dry mouth and dry stool.
Ingredients: 1 old cucumber, 2 corns, 15g lily bulbs, 20g glehnia root, 15g polygonatum odoratum, 1 monkey head mushroom, 2 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Soak monkey head mushrooms for half a day. Cut the old cucumber into pieces. Remove husks from corn and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hour. Add salt to taste.
