新年全盒中必定有瓜子,新年招呼親朋好友必備,因為它寓意「抓銀」,代表在新一年可以財源滾滾來。身邊都有不少朋友是「瓜子控」,新年期間瓜子不離手,你們知道瓜子本來是甚麼嗎?瓜子是各種植物的種子,例如西瓜子及南瓜子,一般來說都有補虛作用,而且瓜子含油份,有助通便。但瓜子經過炒製,比較燥熱,多吃容易出現口瘡、暗瘡、喉嚨痛等上火症狀,每天吃約莫10粒好了,而且比較難消化,脾胃較弱的人少吃為宜。
紅瓜子 — 用西瓜子製作,炒製時添加了色素,西瓜子本身具清肺潤腸及補虛作用。
黑瓜子 — 用西瓜子製作,以花椒、八角及醬油等煮過及炒製,西瓜子本身具清肺潤腸及補虛作用。
南瓜子 — 又稱作白瓜子,是南瓜的種子,南瓜子本身有治腸道寄生蟲的功效。
葵瓜子 — 又稱摩登瓜子,是向日葵的種子,葵瓜子本身有補虛損、潤肺、驅蟲的功效。

A lot of friends seem to be eating a seed all the time, but what is it actually? There are different types of plant seeds such as watermelon or pumpkin seed. They are also hard to digest so those with weak spleen and stomach should avoid.
