【#24節氣 – 清明】
Qing Ming is a traditional Chinese holiday and a solar term and many people have the habit of sweeping grave on this day. It may drizzle anytime this season so it is wise to have an umbrella with you at all times. Although it is warming up, the temperature difference between day and night is still quite large those who are weak or have respiratory illness should be careful to keep warm. During spring, liver qi is quite strong and you should avoid sour flavor and have more sweet flavored ingredients such as Chinese yam, potato, corn, rice bean, banana, rice, carrot, lotus root and dried longan.
The humidity during spring can make people quite sleepy so it is good to sleep and wake up early. Head out into the sun in the morning to absorb yang qi, do some slow paced exercise to sweat slightly to dispel dampness.
– have rice water daily to strengthen the spleen and fight against spring fatigue
– if you feel sad, let it out by crying
– use a dehumidifier to keep your indoor environment dry
