問:最近無論吃甚麼,胃總是脹脹的,有甚麼方法解決?

中脘穴
位置:位於腹部,胸骨下端與肚臍連接線中點,肚臍直上約6隻手指位。
功效:和胃健脾,紓緩胃痛、胃脹、腹痛、消化不良等症狀。
操作:以拇指指腹以陰力按揉約1分鐘
注意:不宜於飯後兩小時內進行。

內關穴
位置:前臂掌側,手腕橫紋上2寸(約3隻手指位)
功效:寬胸止嘔、妊娠孕吐
操作:以拇指指腹以陰力按揉約30秒

合谷穴
位置:大拇指與食指虎口處,第一掌骨與第二掌骨間,約第二掌骨的中點。
功效:紓緩壓力引致的頭痛等不適症狀。
操作:以拇指指腹以陰力按揉約1分鐘
注意:孕婦不宜按壓此穴位,因為有催生作用。

百香果綠茶
功效:清熱消食開胃、潤腸通便。
材料:百香果果肉1茶匙,綠茶包1-2個、蜂蜜適量
做法:將百香果切半,以湯匙把果肉取出。杯子加入熱開水,放入綠茶包,待水變暖,加入百香果肉及蜂蜜拌勻即可。

How to relieve bloating?

Question: Recently, I’ve been experiencing persistent bloating in my stomach, regardless of what I eat. Is there any way to alleviate this issue?

CheckCheckCin: Irregular eating is a part of the urban lifestyle, and it can easily lead to symptoms of indigestion, such as abdominal bloating, gastric acid reflux, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. In traditional Chinese medicine theory, these symptoms fall under the category of food stagnation.

To address this, it is important to promote digestion and resolve stagnation. We can consume moderate amounts of foods known for their digestive properties, such as hawthorn, papaya, pineapple, millet sprouts, malt, and roselle. These can help alleviate discomfort associated with food stagnation. Additionally, massaging acupoints like Central Venter (Zhong Wan), Inner Pass (Nei Guan), and Union Valley (He Gu) can also aid in relieving stomach-related symptoms and improving digestion.

Central Venter (Zhong Wan) Point
Location: located in the abdomen, below the ribs in the midpoint between rib cage and belly button, about 6 finger widths above the belly button
Effects: nourishes stomach and strengthens the spleen, alleviates symptoms of abdominal pain, poor appetite and digestive system pain
Method: use the thumb to gently press each acupoint for about 1 minute
Note: should not be pressed within two hours after a meal.

Inner Pass (Nei Guan) Point
Location: Located three finger breadths below the wrist on the inner forearm in between the two tendons
Effects: alleviates nausea due to motion sickness as well as nausea and vomiting caused by pregnancy.
Method: use the thumb to gently press each acupoint for about 30 seconds

Union Valley (He Gu) Point
Location: between the thumb and index finger, right next to the second metacarpal bone
Effects: alleviates dizziness, headache, bloating and tinnitus
Method: use the thumb to gently press each acupoint for about 1 minute
Note: pregnant women should not press this acupoint as it has labour inducing qualities.

Passion fruit tea to clear indigestion
Effects: Clears heat to relieve indigestion. Stimulate appetite, and moisten bowels to relieve constipation.
Ingredients: 1 teaspoon passion fruit meat, 1-2 green tea bag, honey to taste
Preparation: Cut the passion fruit in half and use a spoon to take out the meat. Add hot water into a cup and place in the tea bag. Add in the passion fruit meat and honey to taste when the water has cooled slightly.
