Summer soup to reduce sweating
Sweating in the summer is very normal but when its excessive, it can be quite troublesome. The loss of fluids can also cause imbalance in the body. Try a soup with Chinese medicine herbs to reduce excessive sweating.
Tips for soups to reduce sweating:
Qi deficiency: Add in ingredients to replenish qi such as Astragalus Root, codonopsis root, radix pseudostellariae
Damp heat: Add in ingredients to clear heat and dispel dampness such as corn silk, old cucumber, blighted wheat
Carrot soup with beet root and blighted wheat
Effects: strengthen the spleen and reduce sweating, calm the mind and heart
Ingredients: 2 carrots, 1 beet root, half a cabbage, 30g blighted wheat, 30g pearl barley, 30g cashews, 2 candied dates
Preparation: rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel carrots and beet root and cut into pieces. Cut cabbage into thin shreds. Fry cashews without oil. Combine all ingredients with 2000ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hour. Add salt to taste.
