Here comes to the End of Heat Solar Term. This solar term marks the end of summer. The temperature in day time will still be high, but we will begin to sense the arrival of autumn at night. During the seasonal change, the yang qi in nature turns from discharge to convergence, and the qi of yin and yang of the human body also changes. Compared to summer, the body will sweat less. The body needs time to adjust to climate change, people may feel tired. We recommend to eat more ingredients to clear heat and calm the mind, such as lotus seeds, lily bulb, longan, honey, snow fungus, seaweed, jellyfish etc to adapt to season change. In our diet, pay attention to strengthening the spleen and nourishing the stomach, and develop the habit of drinking rice water every day to help prevent autumn dryness.
Healthy living during End of Heat Solar Term:
“Clears the heart and calms the mind, strengthen the spleen and stomach.”
Lotus seed: calm the heart and mind, strengthen the spleen and relieve diarrhea, and replenish the kidney.
Radix ophiopogonis: nourish yin and lungs, clear the heart and eliminate annoyance, benefit the stomach and promote fluid.
Dried longan: replenish the heart and the spleen, nourish blood and calm the mind.
Dried longan tea with lotus seed and radix ophiopogonis
Effects: calms the mind, relieves forgetfulness, excessive dreaming, insomnia.
Ingredients: 15g lotus seed, 10g radix ophiopogonis, 10g dried longan
Rinse all ingredients. Combine all ingredients with 800ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
