【湯水養生】膝蓋沉重無力怎麼辦?

牛大力湯舒筋活絡
明明沒有受傷但突然腰膝無力?從中醫角度來看是肝腎虧損的訊號,「肝主筋」、「腎主骨」、「腰為腎之府」,適量食用有補腎強腰功效的食物和湯水,有助改善肝腎虛引致的腰膝無力、耳鳴、脫髮、小便清長、大便泄瀉的症狀。想補益肝腎,可以用牛大力煲湯,牛大力是一種以根入藥的藥材,有強筋活絡的功效,有助紓緩腰肌勞損、風濕性關節炎等症狀。如果有泛紅、紅腫症狀就可以加入土茯苓,有清熱、解毒、祛濕功效,亦有通利關節、強筋骨的作用,尤其適合濕熱體質人士。

舒筋活絡湯水小貼士:
適當地添加補腎強腰功效的食材如栗子、核桃、黑芝麻等。

粉葛牛大力土茯苓湯
功效:清熱祛濕,舒筋活絡,紓緩風濕熱痺痛、腰肌勞損等問題。
材料:牛大力30克、粉葛1個、新鮮土茯苓1塊或土茯苓乾品15克、紅蘿蔔1根、赤小豆15克、紅腰豆30克、蜜棗2顆
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,粉葛、新鮮土茯苓及紅蘿蔔去皮切大塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮1.5小時,最後下鹽調味即可。

Soup to loosen tendons and activate the meridians
Have you experienced weakness in the waist and knees even though you have not had injuries? From Chinese medicine’s perspective, it is a signal of liver and kidney damage. Liver is the master of tendons, kidney is the master of bones, and waist is the centre of kidneys. It is beneficial to consume foods and soups that will replenish the strength of the kidney and waist. They will replenish the deficiencies in the liver and kidney, and can put an end to symptoms like weakness in the waist and knees, tinnitus, hair loss, frequent urination, and diarrhoea.

To invigorate the liver and kidney, consider making a Millettia speciosa (‘niu da li’) soup. Millettia speciose, a type of medicinal root, is able to strengthen and activate the meridians, relieve muscle strains, as well as rheumatism. If there is visible redness or swelling, add in Smilax (‘tu fu ling’) in the soup, as it can eradicate heat, toxins and dampness from the body, as well as strengthen your joints, bones and tendons. It is especially suitable for individuals with heat-dampness conditions.

Tips for soup to loosen tight tendons:
Appropriately add in ingredients to nourish and strengthen kidney, such as chestnut, walnut, black sesame etc.

Millettia speciose soup with arrowroot and smilax
Effects: clears heat, dispels dampness, and loosens tendons. Relieves symptoms of dampheat numbness and pain, alleviates lower back soreness.
Ingredients: 30g millettia speciose, 1 arrowroot, 1 piece of fresh smilax or 15g dried smilax, 1 carrot, 15g rice bean, 30g red kidney bean, 2 candied dates

Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel arrowroot, fresh smilax and carrot, cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hour. Add salt to taste.
