Soup to aid indigestion
It was likely very filling to enjoy turkey, buffet, hotpot during this Christmas week. However, it is exhausting for your digestive system. You may experience abdominal bloating, belching, vomiting, acid reflux if you have asthenic weak spleen and stomach. You should eat a lighter diet to let stomach take a rest after the holiday. Have a soup to promote qi circulation and aid digestion.
Tips for soup to promote qi circulation and aid digestion:
Appropriately add in ingredients such as Chinese hawthorn, white radish, dried citrus peel.
Chayote soup with rice sprout, malt and dried citrus peel
Effects: promotes qi circulation and aids digestion, alleviates poor diet induced symptoms such as indigestion and abdominal bloating or discomfort.
Ingredients: 2 chayotes, 1 carrot, 30g rice sprout, 30g malt, 1 dried citrus peel, 2 figs,
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel chayotes and carrot and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.
Note: This tea contains malt which aids with weaning, and it’s not suitable for breastfeeding women.
