濕疹寶寶不能喝牛奶?
濕疹媽媽:「小兒4歲有濕疹問題,我知道小朋友飲牛奶有益,但牛奶是發物又不適合濕疹人士,可以用羊奶或植物奶代替嗎?」

CheckCheckCin:牛奶性溫且具滋潤成分,如體內有濕者服用,會增加脾胃負擔,濕從內生,濕疹患者在濕疹發作時的確不宜飲用,發作期間可以考慮飲用羊奶或植物奶,羊奶性溫,有益氣補虛作用,而植物奶可選擇屬性平和的燕麥奶和榛子奶,前者有補脾益氣、潤腸通便功效;榛子奶可健脾養胃,適合各種體質人士飲用,尤其適合脾胃虛弱、容易反覆腹瀉人士。
雖然市面上有不同奶類選擇,但當然最適合嬰幼兒體質的還屬母乳,然而也明白非每位媽媽都有足夠母乳,又或是可長期哺乳。因此讓孩子飲用奶類最好多注意每一種奶的營養成份,例如羊奶雖好,但羊奶所含的葉酸、鐵質、維他命都比牛奶少,而植物奶的營養素例如蛋白質含量亦相對低,假如一歲以下的寶寶真的有濕疹問題而未可飲用奶粉,建議先諮詢醫生意見。

母乳 - 「乳為血化美如飴 」──母乳營養豐富,最適合初生嬰兒的生理需要。母乳容易吸收,不會導致內濕,有利小兒發育生長。

牛奶 — 性平,具補虛損、益肺胃、生津潤腸功效,但性質較為滋膩。適合肺脾氣虛小兒適量飲用。脾胃虛寒有腹瀉、濕熱、痰濕體質的小兒、有皮膚問題及濕疹患者不宜飲用,會加重病情。

羊奶 — 性溫,有益氣補虛、養血潤燥、潤肺止咳功效,比牛奶更容易消化。

燕麥奶 — 性平,有補脾益氣、止虛汗、潤腸通便功效,適合習慣性便秘、肥胖、多汗人士飲用。

榛子奶-性平,有健脾養胃的功效,適合各種體質人士飲用,尤其適合脾胃虛弱、容易反覆腹瀉人士。

Babies with eczema cannot have cow’s milk

My 4-year-old is suffering from eczema. I know milk is healthy for children but it is a stimulant and not suitable for those with eczema. Are goat milk or plant based milk good replacements?

CheckCheckCin: Milk is warm in nature and has nourishing qualities. For those with dampness in body, consuming milk will increase the burden on the spleen and stomach. When your eczema is acting up, it is really not suitable to drink milk and you can consider goat milk or plant based milk. Goat milk is warm in nature, can nourish qi and replenish deficiencies. For plant based milk, you can choose mild natured oat milk and hazelnut milk. Oat milk can replenish spleen and nourish qi, moisten the bowels and relieve constipation. Hazelnut milk can strengthen the spleen and nourish the stomach, suitable for all body types especially those with asthenic weak spleen and stomach and those prone to diarrhea.

Although there are many different types of milk in the market, breast milk is still most suitable for infants. But it is understandable that not every mom has enough breast milk or want to breast feed for a long period of time. When choosing your milk, it is important to note the nutritional benefits of each milk. Goat milk is good but it contains less folic acid, iron and vitamins than cow milk. Plant based milk has lower amount of protein.
For children under one year old who suffer from eczema and cannot take formula, we would suggest seeking professional medical opinion.

Breast milk- high in nutrients, most suitable for nutritional needs. It is easy to absorb, and will not cause internal dampness, suitable for newborn growth.

Cow milk- mild in nature, can replenish deficiencies, nourish the lungs and stomach, promote fluid production, and moisten the stomach, but it is slightly fatty in nature. It is suitable for those with lung and spleen qi deficiency. Kids with diarrhea, damp heat and phlegm and dampness body types, those with skin issues and those suffering from eczema should not have milk as it will worsen the condition.

Goat milk- warm in nature, nourishes qi and replenishes deficiencies, nourishes blood and relieves dryness, moistens the lungs and relieve cough. It is easier to digest than milk.

Oats milk- mild in nature, can replenish spleen and nourish qi, relieve excessive sweating, moisten the intestines to relieve constipation. Suitable for those with chronic constipation, obesity and excessive sweating.

Hazelnut milk- mild in nature, can strengthen the spleen and nourish the stomach. Suitable for all body types, especially those with asthenic weak spleen and stomach, and those prone to diarrhea.
