購買食物飲品時見到「低糖」、「零糖」、「零卡路里」等字眼是否覺得特別吸引?慎防跌入健康陷阱!所謂「零糖」是指沒有添加白砂糖、蔗糖等添加糖,但食物甜味從何而來?是因為添加了甜味劑,即人工代糖,例如阿斯巴甜(Aspartame)、糖精(Saccharin)、三氯蔗糖(Sucralose)、紐甜(Neotame)等,人工代糖甜度比天然蔗糖要高很多倍,長期食用高甜度東西容易令味蕾麻木,小心越吃越甜。而且過度攝取人工代糖會增加肥胖、心血管疾病等風險,所以進食「零糖」食物還要適可宜止,而且要習慣了解食物營養標籤,尋找真正低糖/無糖食物。

The term “”zero sugar”” implies that there are no added sugars like white sugar or cane sugar, but where does the sweetness in these products come from? It is often achieved by using sweeteners known as artificial sweeteners, such as aspartame, saccharin, sucralose, neotame, and others.
Artificial sweeteners are much sweeter than natural sugar, and consuming highly sweetened products for an extended period can desensitize your taste buds, leading to a stronger craving for sweetness.
Furthermore, excessive intake of artificial sweeteners can increase the risk of obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and other health issues. Therefore, when consuming “”zero sugar”” foods, it is still crucial to practice moderation. It is essential to develop a habit of understanding food nutrition labels and seek out truly low-sugar or sugar-free options.
