【星期五湯水-粟米粉葛芡實湯】喝一碗湯,趕走睏倦!

阿媽靚湯當中一定少不了一碗粉葛湯,煲煮後濃濃的口感讓人感覺溫暖順口。粉葛性涼,有生津止咳、退熱的功效,對於腸胃有熱滯、發熱及喉嚨痛都有舒緩的作用。在漸漸暖和又愈來愈潮濕的天氣,突如其來的悶熱和濕氣,會讓人突然胃口全失,身體也特別疲累,這時候一碗粉葛湯就最適合!再加上同樣有健脾袪濕功效的芡實、眉豆及粟米鬚,清甜順喉,在沒有胃口的潮濕天時喝碗湯開開胃吧!

粟米粉葛芡實湯
材料:粟米連鬚 2根、粉葛1塊、芡實15克、眉豆15克、花生20克、無花果3枚
做法:
1. 把所有材料洗淨,粟米去衣、粉葛去皮切大塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入約2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,改文火煮1.5小時,最後下鹽調味即可。
功效:清熱祛濕。舒緩身體困倦、無胃口、提不起勁等症狀。

Fight off fatigue- Corn soup with kudzu root and fox nuts
In mom’s library of soups, there must be one kudzu root one as it’s thickness give an extra feeling of warmth. Kudzu root is cool in nature and helps to promote fluid production, relieve cough and heat. It can alleviate those with heat stagnation in the digestive system, feverish, and sore throat. As it becomes warmer and more humid, the stuffy heat and dampness can cause someone to lose their appetite and feel fatigue. This is the best time for a bowl of kudzu root soup! Added with fox nuts, Black-eyed pea, and corn silk, it makes for a bowl of delicious that’s perfect for this weather!

Corn soup with kudzu root and fox nuts
Ingredients- 2 ears of corn with silk, 1 kudzu root, 15g fox nuts, 15g black-eyed pea, 20g peanuts, 3 figs
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Remove husk from corn, peel and cut kudzu root into large pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water into pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hour. Add salt to taste.
