【痰濕體質】
胃口差、頭暈胸悶、經常昏昏欲睡、做事總是提不起勁?以為是缺睡引起但越睡越頭痛,有可能是受痰濕體質影響,都市人食無定時,嗜吃煎炸油膩、生冷食物/飲品和甜品,以致脾胃受損,聚濕生痰,漸漸就形成痰濕體質,常見症狀還包括肌肉鬆軟、水腫、胃脘脹滿、大便稀爛等。
調理重點:理氣化痰
宜:陳皮、熟薏米、茯苓、赤小豆、節瓜、扁豆衣等
忌:生冷寒涼食材雪糕、沙律、刺身等,滋膩食材如奶茶、芝士等,滋陰食材如花膠、雪耳等

白豆蔻陳皮茶
功效:行氣化濕,紓緩因痰濕引起的頭暈、頭痛、胃脘脹滿等症狀。
材料:白豆蔻6克、陳皮1角、藿香12克、蜜棗1枚
做法:材料洗淨。鍋內加入1000毫升水,加入材料,武火煮沸後調中火煮20分鐘,煎成一碗份量即可。建議一星期連續飲用2-3天,連續兩星期為一個療程。
注意:陰虛體質人士不宜。

【濕熱體質】

夏枯草菊花茶
功效:清熱祛濕,紓緩口苦、口臭、小便偏黃等症狀。
材料:夏枯草6克、菊花3克
做法:材料洗淨放保溫瓶,以熱開水沖洗一次,再注入熱開水焗約10分鐘至香味透出即可。建議一星期連續飲用2-3天,連續兩星期為一個療程。

【Phlegm Dampness Constitution】
Poor appetite, dizziness, chest stuffiness, and a constant feeling of drowsiness, along with a lack of motivation to do things? If you think it’s due to sleep deprivation but find that sleeping more only gives you a headache, it might be influenced by a phlegm dampness constitution. Urban lifestyles often involve irregular eating habits and a preference for greasy, fried, oily, cold, and sweet foods and beverages. This damages the spleen and stomach, leading to dampness accumulation and gradually forming a phlegm dampness constitution. Common symptoms also include soft muscles, edema, abdominal bloating, and loose stools.
Pointer of conditioning: regulate qi and clear phlegm
Suitable: dried citrus peel, cooked coix seeds, poria, rice beans, hairy gourd, hyacinth bean coat, etc.
Avoid: raw/cold things such as ice cream, salad, sashimi or cold drink, etc. Nourishing ingredients such as milk tea or cheese. Ingredients that can replenish yin such as fish maw and snow fungus, etc.

White cardamom tea with dried citrus peel
Ingredients: 6g white cardamom, 1 dried citrus peel, 12g musk, 1 candied dates
Preparation: Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Combine all ingredients with 1000ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes till concentrate to a bowl servings. For best results, drink consecutively for 2-3 days, once a day.
Note: Not suitable for those with yin deficiency.

【Damp-Heat Constitution】
Have you ever experienced stool that sticks to the toilet and is difficult to clean, causing embarrassment? This signifies a damp-heat constitution! In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this type of stool is referred to as “”sticky stools””. They are not well-formed but not quite diarrhea. They come with a particularly strong odor and result from long-term dietary habits of overindulging in rich, greasy, and heavily flavored foods, leading to the formation of a damp-heat constitution. Associated symptoms include sensations of heat, thirst, bad breath, oily skin, abdominal bloating, chest stuffiness, and a tendency to feel drowsy.
Pointer of conditioning: clear heat and dispel dampness
Suitable: winter melon, watermelon, night-blooming cereus, mung bean, lotus leaf, coix seeds, arrowroot, smilax or seaweed, etc.
Avoid: nourishing ingredients such as milk tea or cheese. Ingredients that can replenish yin such as fish maw, snow fungus, glehnia root and radix ophiopogonis, etc. Replenishing ingredients such as glutinous rice, durian, lamb, beef, chicken essence, Chinese red dates water or ginger tea, etc.

Prunella vulgaris tea with Wild chrysanthemum
Effect: clear heat and dispel dampness. Relieve bitter mouth, bad breath, yellow urine, etc.
Ingredients: 10g prunella vulgaris, 3g wild chrysanthemum
Preparation: Rinse all ingredients thoroughly and place into thermos, rinse with hot water once. Then add in hot water again and steep for 10 minutes. For best results, drink consecutively for 2-3 days, once a day.
