After Christmas and New Year’s holidays, everyone is likely very tired. Going back to work feels like such a daunting task, and it’s as if our soul hasn’t returned from vacation yet. Give yourself a couple days to adjust back to work and smoothly transition back to working condition.

Try doing the following to transition:
1. Share souvenirs and photos from your vacation with coworkers during free time
2. During down time, revisit your holiday photos and videos
3. Start planning your next vacation to give yourself a goal to work towards

To help with your concentration, try making this Chinese red dates tea with wheat and licorice to give yourself a boost and improve your moods.

Chinese red dates tea with wheat and licorice
Effects: nourishes the heart and calms the mind, nourishes yin and organs. Alleviates poor concentration and anxiousness
Ingredients: 30g wheat, 6g licorice, 6 Chinese red dates
Preparation: rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Cut red dates in half and place into thermos. Rinse once with hot water, then steep with hot water for 15 minutes. This tea can be re-brewed until its flavour weakens.
Note: not suitable for those recovering from cold or flu, those with heat related symptoms, ladies menstruating or breastfeeding.
