3 steps to renew your skin
A good complexion give a refreshing feeling during the new year. Give your skin a good cleanse and protection, then follow healthy living principals to achieve blushing complexion that will get you compliments everywhere you go.
Step 1- deep cleanse
Natural coconut oil facial scrub
Ingredients: fine brown sugar and cold pressed coconut oil
Preparation: combine brown sugar and coconut in 4:3 proportions. Apply gently to skin by massaging in circular motion. Rinse with warm water. Finally, clean with cleansing cream. Scrub once a week.
Brown sugar is more gentle than salt and can remove dead skin with gentle massage. Coconut oil is nourishing and natural, it also doesn’t harm the environment so it’s worth a try!
Step 2- natural protection
Ingredients: half an avocado, 2 teaspoon plain yogurt
Preparation: mash avocado and mix the ingredients. Apply onto skin after cleansing and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with water.
Avocado oils is easy for the skin to absorb and it’s beneficial to the skin. Added with yogurt, it makes a great natural mask.
Step 3- healthy living
Fig tea with adenophora stricta and polygonatum
Ingredients: 9g adenophora stricta, 9g polygonatum, 9g lily bulbs, 2 dried figs (thinly sliced)
Preparation: rinse ingredients thoroughly and cut into small pieces. Put into thermos and steep with hot water for 20 minutes. Tea can be rebrewed until its flavor weakens.
Your body condition is reflected on your skin so your daily habits will directly affect your skin condition. Aside from proper cleaning and skin care, remember to apply sunscreen too. Avoid overachieving, late nights, eating too much stimulating foods, heavy flavored things and cold/raw foods. Appropriately consume yin nourishing food such as snow fungus, figs, adenophora stricta, polygonatum, and lily bulbs, according to your body constitution. The most ideal skin care is to eat right and do right.
