Autumn soup to moisten lungs and improve sleep quality
The cool and sunny fall weather should improve a person’s mood. But as we stare at withering plants, it could affect a person’s mood quickly leading to anxiety and insomnia. This is common in the fall. The lungs correspond to autumn, and the lungs belong to gold within the five elements. You should moisten the lungs to lessen impact of autumn sadness. Eat more ingredients that can moisten lung, promote fluid production, nourish yin and relieve dryness, such as pear, snow fungus, American ginseng, lily bulb, sesame, honey, loquat. Have soups that can moisten lungs, eat less spicy foods, and do more outdoor activities to increase sun exposure, which can reduce the impact of autumn sadness on the body.

Effects: nourishes the stomach and moisten the lungs, calms the mind, relieves stress, improves difficulty falling asleep, relieves dry skin and other symptoms.
Ingredients: 1 apple, 1 carrot, 1 fresh lily bulb, 15g radix adenophorae, 20g polygonatum root, 10g sea coconut, 10g longan, 2 candied dates
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Core apple and cut into pieces. Peel carrot and cut into pieces. Cut open lily bulb. 
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hour. Add salt to taste.
