1. 材料洗淨,人參切去頭部;蒜頭去皮;洋蔥切件;大蔥切段;全雞洗淨去除內臟、頭、頸及雞爪。
2. 在雞肚內塞入1支人參、紅棗、栗子、蒜頭及糯米至八成滿,然後用棉線和竹簽將缺口綁緊,以防材料溢出。
3. 將全雞放入鍋中,加入餘下的人參、薑片、洋蔥及大蔥,加入清水至蓋過全雞。
4. 以武火煮至水滾,調文火煮2至3小時,視乎雞隻大小,最後加入適量鹽及胡椒粉即成。

Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup
Ingredients: 1 chicken, 2 ginsengs, 8 Chinese dates, 8 chestnuts, 8 cloves of garlic, 50g glutinous rice, 6 slices of ginger, half an onion, 1 sprig of leeks, water, salt, pepper

1. Rinse all the ingredients thoroughly. Remove the roots of ginseng; peel the garlic; cut onion and leeks into pieces. Rinse chicken and remove the internal organs, head, neck and feet.
2.Put 1 ginseng, Chinese dates, chestnuts, garlic, glutinous rice into the chicken. Use cotton thread and bamboo sticks to seal the opening.
3.Put the chicken into a pot, add remainder of ginseng, ginger, onion, leek into a pot. Add water to cover the chicken.
4.Cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and cook for 2-3 hours, depending on the size of chicken. Add salt and pepper to taste.
