外國有不少公司都相繼提倡女士有月經假。其實在中醫角度來亦屬正確,因為女性在經期間最需要休息,不宜進行太劇烈的體力勞動之外,長途跋涉、負重、熬夜也不適合。但也不代表要長期卧床或完全不運動,這反而會令氣血呆滯不通,所以適度的活動也是可以的,如散步、拉筋、瑜伽都是不錯的選擇。

During menstruation, ladies usually need rest, and it is not suitable to overwork the body too much, travel far, carry heavy things, or sleep late. This does not mean that menstruating women should just lie in bed and completely stop exercising as that will cause stagnation of qi and blood so mild exercises such as leisure walks, stretching and yoga are still acceptable.
