Be still during menstruation
A lot of overseas companies have begun to encourage menstrual leave. From a Chinese medicine perspective, this is also a good idea. During menstruation, ladies usually need rest, and it is not suitable to overwork the body too much, travel far, carry heavy things, or sleep late. This does not mean that menstruating women should just lie in bed and completely stop exercising as that will cause stagnation of qi and blood so mild exercises such as leisure walks, stretching and yoga are still acceptable.
