一家有老有少各有不同體質,想烹調一煲一家大小都適合飲用的祛濕湯水,記得多選屬性平和的食材,祛濕食材之中淮山、白扁豆、赤小豆、茨實、眉豆等均性平,不似冬瓜、荷葉、綠豆般屬性偏寒涼,這樣煲出來的湯水屬性較為平和,連體質偏寒的家庭成員也適合飲用。而煲湯的瓜果可選擇屬性平和的佛手瓜及節瓜,佛手瓜有健脾開胃、清肺化痰的功效,節瓜為小冬瓜,但不似冬瓜般寒涼, 亦具利水消腫、健脾益胃之效。


1. 所有材料洗淨,佛手瓜、淮山去皮切塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入約2500毫升水,放入全部材料,以武火煮至水滾,調文火煮約2小時,最後下鹽調味即可。

Every family member has a different body condition. To cook a pot of soup that is suitable for the whole family, remember to choose more mild natured ingredients. Ingredients that can dispel dampness such as Chinese yam, hyacinth bean, rice bean, fox nut and purple haricot are mild in nature. They are different from cool and cold natured ingredients such as winter melon, lotus leaf and mung bean. A mild natured soup is suitable for family member who has cold-related body condition. You can also choose mild natured gourds such as chayote and hairy gourd to make soup. Chayote has the effect of strengthening the spleen and stimulating appetite, clearing the lungs and reducing phlegm. Hairy gourd is a mini version of winter melon but its nature is not as cold as winter melon. It also can promote diuresis, reduce bloating, strengthen the spleen and stomach.

Tips for soup to strengthen the spleen and dispel dampness
Appropriately add in ingredients such as Chinese yam, poria, atractylodes rhizome, fox nut, soya bean. 

Rice soup with chayote, Chinese yam and rice bean
Effects: strengthens the spleen and dispels dampness, promotes qi and diuresis, relieves symptoms such as body and limb heaviness, poor appetite.
Ingredients: 2 chayotes, 1 Chinese yam, 20g hyacinth bean, 20g rice bean, 30g purple haricot, 1 dried citrus peel, ¼ cup of rice
1. Rinse all ingredients. Peel chayotes and Chinese yam and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 2 hours. Add salt to taste.
