星期五湯水-絲瓜粟米荷葉湯

踏入初秋,還是要適當的為身體消暑清熱。

絲瓜粟米荷葉湯
材料:絲瓜1根、粟米連鬚2根、紅蘿蔔1根、鮮荷葉1/2塊(或乾荷葉約20克)、薑2片
做法:
1. 將材料洗淨。絲瓜,紅蘿蔔去皮切塊,粟米去衣切段。
2. 鍋內加入2000mL水,加入所有材料,武火煮至水滾,改文火煮1小時, 調入適量鹽即可。
功效:清熱解暑。舒緩夏日悶熱影響身體感覺困倦、食慾不振等症狀。

Friday Soup Series- Lotus Leaf Soup with Luffa and Corn
It’s only beginning of spring so it’s still important to appropriately manage the summer heat.
Ingredients: 1 luffa, 2 ears of corn with silk, 1 carrot, ½ fresh lotus leaf (20g dried lotus leaves), 2 slices of ginger
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Cut and peel luffa and carrots and cut into pieces. Remove husks from corn and cut corn into pieces.
2. Combine ingredients with 2000 ml of water in a pot, and place over high heat until the water boils. Switch to low heat and simmer for 1 additional hour. Add salt to taste.
Effects: Clears heat and relieves summer-heat. Alleviates summer induced symptoms such as fatigue and lack of appetite.
