夏日清心安眠湯
自小就聽過「春天不是讀書天,夏日炎炎正好眠」然而每到夏天,天氣變得悶熱就覺得睡不好,有時輾轉反側,半夜容易醒來,有時更會失眠,你也會這樣嗎?中醫理論認為夏天屬火,暑熱容易令人心浮氣躁,心火較容易旺盛,如果加上壓力大、多吃辛辣、煎炸、刺激性食物就更容易上火,心火上炎就會擾亂心神,容易出現煩躁、食慾不振、口乾舌燥、多夢失眠等症狀。想有一覺好眠,只是清熱並不足夠,還需要適當滋陰,配搭有安神作用的食材煲湯飲用,例如百合、蓮子等,有助寧心安神,提升睡眠質素。
清心安神湯水小貼士:
適當地添加清心安神功效的食材如金針花、茯神、遠志、酸棗仁等。
蓮藕浮小麥百合湯
功效:清心安神,紓緩心煩失眠、睡不安寧、多汗等症狀。
材料:蓮藕2-3節、荷葉半塊、新鮮百合1-2枚、新鮮蓮子80克、浮小麥30克、麥冬20克、 蜜棗2枚
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,蓮藕去皮切塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮1小時,最後下鹽調味即可。
注意:哺乳中的婦女不宜飲用。

Soup to calm the mind in summer
Summer heat may lead to poor sleep. You may easily wake up at night and even have insomnia. Chinese theory believes that summer corresponds to fire in nature. Summer heat makes you irritable and leads to strong heart fire. Many things can lead to fire in the body, such as stress, eating more spicy, fried, and stimulating foods. Rising heart fire will disturb the heart and mind which can cause symptoms such as irritability, poor appetite, dry mouth, frequent dream or insomnia. If you want to have a good night of sleep, besides clearing the heat, you also need to nourish yin appropriately, make soup with ingredients that can calm the mind, such as lily bulb, lotus seeds, to help calm the mind and improve sleep quality.
Tips for soups to clear the heart and calm the mind:
Add in appropriate ingredients such as orange daylily, poria, polygala, spine date seeds.
Lotus root soup with blighted wheat and lily bulbs
Effects: clears the heart and calms the mind, relieves symptoms such as insomnia due to irritability, poor sleep quality and excessive sweating.
Ingredients: 2-3 segments of lotus root, half piece of lotus leaf, 1-2 fresh lily bulbs, 80g fresh lotus seed, 30g blighted wheat, 20g radix ophiopogonis, 2 cadied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel lotus roots and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.
Note: not suitable for breastfeeding women
