Dragon Tongue Leaf Soup can relieve stubborn phelgm
After a few days of holiday, your throat might be dry and coarse with cough and yellowish phlegm. The relentless phlegm is stuck in your throat and you can’t seem to cough it out. If you have a cold drink or dessert, it all seems to worsen. From Chinese medicine perspective, phlegm is a result of irregular organ function. When the body has dampness, you are also prone to having phlegm. Aside from drinking soups that can clear phlegm, it is also important to take good care of your organs.
Appropriately add in ingredients to relieve cough and clear phlegm such as white radish, monk fruit, dried citrus, candied tangerine fruit, and olives.
Dragon tongue leaves soup with pears and sweet and bitter almonds
Effects: moistens the lungs, clear phlegm and relieve cough. Alleviate post flu cough with yellowish phlegm and dry throat.
Ingredients: 20g dragon tongue leaves, 2 pears, 1 carrot, 15g sweet and bitter almonds, 4 dried figs, 2 candied dates
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel and core pears and cut into pieces. Peel carrot and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.
