很多小朋友都不喜歡喝水,在這個秋燥侵襲的轉季時分,當身體不好好補充水分,就特別容易出現乾燥的狀況。尤其是孩子,氣管和皮膚份外過敏,更易出現乾咳、嘴唇乾,又或是皮膚痕癢等症狀。當身體沒有足夠的陰液滋養身體,就會出現虛火,這時候即使媽媽們不停灌水給孩子飲用,其實也改善不到身體內的「渴」,
打邊爐的時候,水滾湯熱,湯底越來越少的時候,我們不停加入湯底,但如果我們不將火爐的轟轟烈火調低,湯底還是會繼續被蒸發掉。原理相若,假如體內有一團虛火,不管我們喝多少水,還是未能完全解渴。所以可以於水裡加入麥冬、花旗參、蜂蜜、無花果等能潤燥的材料。不用多,隨便一兩款即可。不但可以為開水添加味道,令孩子更願意飲用,更可舒緩身體的「渴」。同時媽媽們也要避免讓孩子食用煎炸油膩等重口味食物,才能事半功倍地改善秋燥。
What can I do when my child won’t drink water?
A lot of children don’t like water and during fall when its especially, that could become a problem. Kids have extra sensitive respiratory system and skin and are more prone to dry cough, dry lips or itchiness. When they don’t have enough fluids to nourish the body, it could lead to asthenic fire. By then, it would seem like no amount of water can improve the thirst within the body.
When you are having hot pot and the water is boiling, you add soup to it as it evaporates. But unless you turn down the heat, the soup will not stop evaporating and you will have to keep adding to it. This is similar concept to asthenic fire and why you seem to have never ending thirst. Try adding some dryness relieving ingredients into your water such as ginseng, honey, radix ophiopogonis, or figs. It does not have to be a lot, and it can add flavor to your water to entice your child to drink it too. You should also avoid giving your child oily and fried foods to improve the condition.
