Being sweet isn’t always good?
A lot of people will try to use sweet words to make our moms happy, being sweet with words is not a problem but if you taste sweetness in your mouth even with water, then your spleen may not be functioning properly. This is especially true for those with damp-heat, and Chinese medicine calls it ‘sweet taste’. People with this usually consume fatty and strong flavored things. They have a good appetite and will eat quite a bit. As the same time they may feel thirsty but do not want to drink water and may also experience abdominal bloating. So if you are sweet with words, then great; but if you have a sweet taste, then pay attention to your diet, and keep to bland and light food and vegetables.
Tea remedy for sweet taste:
Ingredients: 60g mung beans, 20g raw coix seeds, 10g pearl barley, 8 gingko nuts
Preparation: remove shell from gingko nuts. Combine ingredients with 1000ml of water in a pot, and place over high heat until the water boils. Switch to low heat and simmer for additional 45 minutes. Add rock sugar to taste.
