How to avoid gastrointestinal disease in the summer?
Summer holiday has just begun, but a lot of kids seem to have caught a bug with abdominal issues such as pain and diarrhea. Why does hot weather seem to make people sick? As the hot qi sinks to ground and moisture rises, people have cold drinks at the same time, causing cold and heat to be trapped in the stomach together. Besides diarrhea and abdominal pain, damp summer heat flu will lead to heavy headedness, lack of overall strength or even vomiting. When the stomach is invaded by external pathogens, the function of the stomach becomes abnormal. The stomach qi would rise instead of fall and the food goes up with qi causing vomiting. In order to make the body adapt to the sudden cold meal, you should take more care of your spleen and stomach. Have rice water daily, have less cold/raw food and drinks. Avoid playing or working outdoors between 12 noon to 2pm, if you have to, wear a hat, and do not immediately cool off in front of air-conditioning after sweating.
