Three-bean vegetarian soup to dispel dampness on Qing Ming
Is your procrastination worse in the spring? You may be affected by spring fatigue. The humidity can make people extra sleepy, limbs feel heavier, and have poor appetite. Aside from external dampness, poor dietary habits and frequent consumption of cold and raw food and oily things can increase internal dampness leading to onset of skin issues such as itchiness and eczema. This is the right time to have soup that strengthens the spleen and dispels dampness and kick the fatigue!
Tips for soups to strengthen the spleen and dispel dampness:
Appropriately include ingredients such as corn silk, coix seed, dried citrus peel and rice beans.
Three bean vegetarian soup with hairy gourd and corn
Effects: strengthens the spleen and dispels dampness, promote diuresis, alleviate dampness related heavy limbs and edema
Ingredients: 2 hairy gourds, 1 corn with silk, 30g rice beans, 30g black eyed beans, 30g hyacinth bean, 2 candied dates, 1 dried citrus peel
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Cut hairy gourd into large pieces, remove husk from corn keeping silk and cut into pieces
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hour. Add salt to taste.
