【星期五湯水-薯仔椰菜人參湯】怕凍一族要飲呢個湯!

中醫角度認為當體內陽氣不足會異常怕冷。陽氣有如體內一個小火爐,當天氣寒冷時自然會消耗更多火種。想保持身體溫暖就要保護陽氣,天冷時就要穿足夠的衣服,避免頭、頸、肩及膝頭等部位著涼。暖笠笠湯水不一定是肉湯,這個週末試試這個素湯吧!

暖笠笠湯水-
薯仔椰菜人參湯
材料:
薯仔2個、椰菜半個、新鮮人參3根(約50克)、去核紅棗4-6枚、洋蔥1個、糯米1/4米杯

做法:
1. 將所有材料洗淨,薯仔、洋蔥去皮切塊,椰菜切絲。
2. 鍋中加入約 2000毫升水,所有材料放入鍋內,以武火煮至水煲,調文火煮約1小時,最後下鹽調味便可。
功效:益氣補血,舒緩怕冷、四肢冰冷、心悸、呼吸不暢順等症狀。
禁忌:身體有偏熱症狀、感冒未清者不宜飲用。

From Chinese medicine perspective, when a person is lacking in yang qi, he/she will have strong aversion to cold. Yang qi is like a heater inside the body and when it’s cold, your body would have to use up more fuel to keep warm. If you want to stay warm, it is important to protect your yang qi- wear enough layers, keep your head, neck, shoulders and knees warm. Try this vegetarian warming soup this weekend!

Warming soup- Potato soup with cabbage and ginseng

Ingredients: 2 potatoes, half a cabbage, 3 fresh ginseng (about 50g), 4-6 seedless red dates, 1 onion, 1/4 cup of glutinous rice

Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel onion and potatoes and cut into pieces. Slice cabbage into thin shreds.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2000ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Then simmer on low heat for another hour. Add salt to taste.

Effects: replenish qi and blood. Relieve aversion to cold, cold limbs, heart palpitations, and disturbance in respiration.
Note: this soup is not suitable for those with heat-related symptoms or those recovering from a cold/flu.
