夏季要養心
夏季天氣炎熱自然會多流汗,中醫認為「汗為心之液」,汗出過多會傷津,身體表現為:口渴、唇乾、口乾、大便偏乾或呈粒粒大便、心煩等症狀。所以夏季消暑以外也要注意調養心。
推介紅豆米水
米水(1-2人份)
材料:紅米2湯匙、生薏米半湯匙、紅豆半湯匙
做法:將材料洗淨,鍋內加入約800-1000毫升水,加入所有材料,以武火煮滾後調文火煮30-40分鐘。
注意:天天煲,一天飲完,不要過夜。孕婦將生薏米換成白米即可飲用。
Nourish your heart in the summer
Summer heat naturally leads to extra sweating, Chinese medicine believes ‘sweat is the heart’s fluid’. When you sweat excessively, it leads to decrease in body fluid, and you would experience thirst, dry lips, dry mouth, dry and lumpy stool, and irritability. It is important to nourish your heart in the summer.
Try having some red bean rice water!
Rice water (serves 1)
Ingredients: red rice 2 tablespoons, coix seeds ½ tablespoon, red bean half table spoon
Preparation: Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Add 800-1000ml of water in pot along with all ingredients, and cook on high heat until boiling. Then turn to low heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
Note: Make it daily and consume within the day, cannot be stored overnight. For pregnant women, change coix seeds to white rice.
