【減肥迷思】做運動出汗成身濕透很有滿足感?

流汗可以帶走脂肪?
白先生:「我平日都幾大汗,做完運動流汗就更多,但減肥總是沒有成績,不是說流汗就是消耗脂肪嗎?」

CheckCheckCin:運動後增加出汗是正常現象,但不代表流汗越多消耗脂肪就越多,而且要注意如果靜止時出汗,少量運動後即大汗淋漓,中醫稱之為「自汗」,多數出現於氣虛或陽虛體質人士身上,氣虛的人容易氣喘、低聲說話、經常反覆感冒、做事提不起勁等;而陽虛體質是氣虛體質的加強版,因為長期飲食不節、工作勞累、多思慮等原因損傷了體內陽氣所致。這兩種體質人士不宜做劇烈的運動或出汗太過,因為氣隨汗脫,會令虛弱的人更虛弱,建議進行強度較小的運動,如太極、步行、伸展運動等,運動後飲用以下介紹的雙冬茶補充津液,長遠需要按體質調理身體,少吃生冷、辛辣及屬性寒涼食物。

雙冬茶
功效:養陰生津,補充運動後身體大量流失的水份津液。
材料:麥冬6克、天冬6克、百合9克
做法:材料洗淨後煮30分鐘,連渣倒入保溫瓶反覆沖泡多1-2次。

Does sweating lead to more fat burn?
“I sweat so much. It is more intense after exercising but I have made no progress on weight loss. Isn’t sweating supposed to mean more fat burn?”

CheckCheckCin: Sweating more after exercising is normal, but it does not mean that the more you sweat, the more fat you burn. And it should be noted that if you sweat at rest or sweat too much after just little exercising, it is considered “unexplained sweating” from the perspective of Chinese medicine. These usually happen to those who have qi deficiency or yang deficiency body types. Those with qi deficiency usually experience shortness of breath, usually speak in low volume, seem to have a cold/flu all the time, and are generally fatigued. Yang deficiency is a worsened version of qi deficiency, yang qi is harmed due to long term poor eating habits, tiring work or excessive thinking. People of these two body types should not do high-intensity exercises or sweat too much, because the qi will be weakened aa the body perspires. It is recommended to do low-intensity exercise, such as Tai Chi, walking, stretching. Drinking this tea after exercise can replenish the body fluids. In the long run, you need to nourish your body according to your body type, and eat less cold/raw, spicy and cold natured foods.

Radix ophiopogonis tea with wild asparagus
Effects: nourishes yin and promotes fluid production,replenishes body fluids lost after exercise. 
Ingredients: 6g radix ophiopogonis, 6g wild asparagus, 9g lily bulb
Preparation: rinse all ingredients and boil for 30 minutes. Pour all contents into a thermos and tea can re-brewed for 1 to 2 times.
