1. 所有材料洗淨,鮮淮山、蓮藕去皮切塊備用。
2. 鍋內加入約2500毫升水,放入全部材料,以武火煮至水滾,調文火煮約2小時,最後下鹽調味即可。

At the beginning of each year, there is a peak season for influenza. Children, the elderly and those with asthenic weak body type are particularly vulnerable. Therefore, drink more soups to strengthen spleen, nourish qi, strengthen the lungs and improve immune system.

Tips for soup to strengthen the spleen and nourish qi:
Appropriately add in ingredients such as radix pseudostellariae, astragalus root, lotus seed, fox nuts, potato. 

Lotus root soup with fresh Chinese yam and codonopsis root
Effects: strengthens spleen, nourishes qi and strengthens lungs. Suitable for those with asthenic weak spleen and stomach
Ingredients: 1 lotus root (about 3 segments), 1 fresh Chinese yam, 15g codonopsis root, 15 g astragalus root, 30g kidney bean, 2 candied dates
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel fresh Chinese yam and lotus root and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 2 hour. Add salt to taste. 
Note: not suitable for those recovering from cold/flu.
