Three foods suitable for those with nasal allergies
It is important to watch your diet to relieve nasal allergies and avoid things that are cold or raw, cold in nature. You should try to eat things that replenishes the lungs and nourishes the spleen. Three things especially good for nasal allergies are pumpkin, ginger and codonopsis root. They are especially good for allergies that are brought on by cooling down of weather, as they help to dispel cold and relieve stuffed nose. Codonopsis root is a medicinal herb that addresses qi deficiency, replenish vital energy and nourishes qi, and it is suitable for those with nasal allergies caused by asthenic weak spleen and lungs. It is also suitable for those with qi and blood deficiencies.
Pumpkin- warm in nature with a sweet flavor. Dispels pathogens and nourish qi, relieves asthma and phlegm, nourishes the heart and replenishes the lungs. Suitable for asthma attacks brought on by qi deficiency and cooling down of weather. It is not suitable for those with qi and dampness stagnation, jaundice or feet odor.
Ginger- warm in nature with a spicy flavor. Dispels pathogens and cold, removes dampness and relieves phlegm. Suitable for those with cold wind flu, cold phlegm and cough, cold stomach vomiting and stuffed nose. Not suitable for those with heat related symptoms.
Codonopsis root- mild in nature with a sweet flavor. Replenishes vital energy and nourishes qi, strengthens the spleen and nourishes the lungs. Improves asthenic weak spleen and lungs, relieves asthmatic coughing, shortness in breath and heart palpitations, and improves inner heat condition and relieves thirst.
