Early onset of grey hairs
Remember the scene in Chinese period dramas where the main actor gets a full hair of white hair overnight due to grief? Dramas naturally have their exaggerated elements, however, people do experience early onset of grey hairs. It is different from the grey hair caused by natural aging. We are referring to teenagers and middle aged people. Chinese medicine believes that kidney health is reflected in hair quality. Healthy hair needs sufficient kidney qi tobring necessary nutrients to your scalp. Deficient kidney qi will cause grey hair or even loss of hair. Your emotions also affects hair health. Hair is an extension of blood which is stored in the liver. If you are anxious and under constant stress, you may have liver qi depression. Therefore, liver cannot store the blood and nourish the hair.
Innate liver and kidney deficiencies, overly active sex life, over thinking can cause premature greying. Patients should consult a Chinese medicine practitioner. For daily care, you can drink wolfberry tea with mulberry to nourish and replenish liver and kidneys, nourish blood and yin, improve hair quality and eyesight.
